I am qualified in all therapies offered, and have trained at Coleg Morgannwg, and with Teach Therapies, plus the Massage in Schools Association, Zodiac Academy of Clinical Hypnotherapyand John Dewar's School of Hypnotherapy Psychotherapy & Stress Management. The courses have been accredited by VTCT (Vocational Training Charitable Trust), and/or recognised by the Federation of Holistic Therapists, plus the General Hypnotherapy Council regarding clinical hypnotherapy sessions/stress management. I am fully equipped and insured, and you are more than welcome to ask for my credentials. I also possess a current enhanced CRB verified by the FHT(April 2010)

 

I am also a qualified Massage in Schools Instructor which promotes positive touch and peer massage in schools, which reduces bullying, increases respect and improves attendance and concentration. This can also be adapted for Youth Service work, community groups and the workplace.

 

I am also an Infant Massage Instructor and as such can share the benefits of this treatment with parents/guardians and those in the nursing/medical professions who have contact with babies/infants. (See current courses available at http://www.zodiactherapytraining.co.uk )

 

I have worked in the health sector for nearly 25 years including nursing, health promotion management, health development in the community, and for many years was Director for Wales of a major heart charity. I have also worked in retail and as a teacher. As such I have many years of varied experiences which I utilise in my work.

 

I am a Member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists, Member of the International Council of Holistic Therapists, a Member of the Massage in Schools Association, a member of the General Hypnotherapy Council, and a Fellow of the Institute of Health Promotion and Education. I am also registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council and the Central Register of Stop Smoking Therapists.

 

My Stress Management sessions are based on 20 years of providing these to companies, local authorities, health authorities and community groups in England and Wales.

I left school with 2 O levels in Art and Biology. Went on to Art College after studying A level Art. Didn't finish A level as I was tempted into paid work (£5 a week as a student psychiatric nurse), and I left Art College after just 2 sessions as they told me I drew too quickly! I asked what was wrong to which the tutor replied 'nothing' - but I drew a life model too quickly???!!! I then did my O Level English in 1980. When I was 24 I went back to college and have not stopped learning since. I mention all this as I have heard too many people saying they are too old to learn any more; I am currently 54 years of age and have no intention of stopping learning....so:

 

 

Also did 3 years PhD studies in Organisational Leadership and Change - but funding stopped.
